13 Bats are Australia’s premier Gothic Deathrock band. Starting in September 2008 the Brisbane based group consisting of Batbones on Vocals and Omnichord, and Corvus on Bass, Guitar and Drums/Keyboards combine a wide range of influences including early Goth and Batcave bands (Specimen, Alien Sex Fiend, Christian Death, Southern Death Cult, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry and Joy Division) as well as modern Deathrock (Cinema Strange, Bloody Dead and Sexy, Eat Your Make Up and The Cemetery Girlz) to create a sound that is unique yet familiar. In mid 2009 they released their debut song “The Cry” and garnered acclaim the world over.13 Bats released their debut ep "Dust" in the beginning of year 2010.
