The sound of this hard rock band is easily identifiable, yet their overall style is multi-dimensional. One moment they'll be smooth, dark and melodic - quiet and soft spoken - and the next, they'll move into a heavy, funky groove, and you don't even know how you got there. This unpredictability is fundamental to 12TONE's style and it creates a mystique that's both mesmerizing and alluring. The essence of 12TONE radiates from the balanced percussive rhythms produced by drummer Daniel Graves melded with the intricate low-end bass lines composed by bass player Joey Rudell. Guitarists Brian Gold and Wayne Rudell complete the circle with melodic riffs backed by a power-house of "IN YOUR FACE" distortion. In addition to being a guitarist, Wayne Rudell is also front man and lead singer for 12TONE. Wayne has a confident and commanding stage presence, with a smooth, strong voice. His vocal power drives every verse and chorus with unique style, singing with technical skill and versatility. 12TONE officially formed in the spring of 2001 when the group began routinely rehearsing for local gigs. During this time much of the band's sound was refined and molded into what it is today. In October 2002 12TONE entered the studio to begin recording and production of their debut album "Vertigo." As the year passed "Vertigo" was finally completed and released in September 2003.
