Also known as eleven seventeen, 11:17 was a DFW-based solo project, then an Austin-based band, and is now once again a solo project. 11:17 features smooth guitars, driving rhythms, and stark lyricism. In 2012, 11:17 released the full band album All We Need Is Here and the companion EP Setting All We Need on Fire. Grab them both for free on this page or at elevenseventeen.bandcamp.com. Alex still writes and records music in Busan, South Korea, where he's currently teaching English. From 2010 to 2012, 11:17 was... Alex Daniel - vocals + guitar Dago Garcia - vocals + guitar Tim Shin - bass + vocals Trevor Mason - drums Alex started 11:17 as a solo project in 2004, performing around Texas through 2006. He spent those years and the few after that drinking whiskey and recording layered acoustic home demos, including a split EP with Oklahoma's Oolitic. After the laptop with the source tracks for those demos was stolen, Alex posted an ad on craigslist looking for musicians to help him flesh out the old tunes and craft some new ones. Trevor, a childhood friend who happened to have recently moved to Austin, saw the ad and jumped on board.
