Shortened name to WASOAH. With a Sword on a Horse is an ambient rock band from South Texas. In 2009, Alexander Garza, Stephen Ramirez, Jonathan Pruneda, and Ezequiel Lozano formed the group initially as a recording project. After recording a few demos, Christi Arredondo joined the lineup on vocals and keyboards. In August 2009, they spent a few weeks recording in their rehearsal space where they completed their first EP ‘I left the familiar, towards horizons unseen’. After a few performances and rehearsals, …With a Sword on a Horse parted ways with their vocalist, Christi Arredondo, and drummer, Jonathan Pruneda with hopes of taking the band in a new direction. In summer 2010, the band recruited drummer Alberto Long and recorded a few live tracks of new material, entitled 'Live and Unreleased', which was made available for free download. In spring of 2011, a remix of an older song was released on the 'Hope For Japan' compilation. Due to commitments to school, the band is known to take large breaks between playing live, but have currently been writing and preparing for their next release.
