Formed in 2005 in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire by a mutual love of bands like Sunn O))), Khanate and Merzbow; (InfraSound) have played across the U.K, with bands from across Europe. Founding members are Alex (guitars/noise), Matt (bass/vocals/synth) and Conrad (uke/synth). In 2007 (InfraSound) demolished the studios of BBC Radio Stoke in an improvised live session. In a live setting (InfraSound) have gone from creating swelling, atmospheric sounds to brutal all out noise in the space of a gig. Generating enough sub-bass to make bottles vibrate off the bar, blowing amplifiers and speaker cabinets. An uncompromising attitude to musical extremity means that an (InfraSound) gig wont be like your usual doom show. Expect extreme volume, copious amounts of sub-bass, distortion and inhuman vocals. The band have recorded 2 self released demos- 'My Cell' (2007) and 'Vanishing Point' (2008), in 2009 they released the recording of their BBC Session after the master copy was lost entitled 'the lost BBC Session'. The band will re-enter the studio in 2013 to record their first release in 4 years.
