Artist
"Carnival" was a project group formed in 1997 by two prominent figures in Korean music, Lee Juck and Kim Dong Ryul. This collaboration was particularly significant because both artists had already established successful careers with their respective bands: Lee Juck with Panic and Kim Dong Ryul with Exhibition (전람회). Their sole album, also titled Carnival, was released in October 1997. The album is highly regarded for its sophisticated melodies, rich arrangements, and poetic lyrics that explore themes of youth, nostalgia, and introspection. It blended various genres, including pop, rock, and jazz, creating a unique sound that received overall positive criticism from the general public.
