GI (지아이, "Global Icon") was a female group from South Korea formed in 2013 under the management of Sim Tong Entertainment. The group consisted of Eun Ji (은지), AI (아이), Aram (아람), Ha Yeon (하연), One Ket (원캣), Heeso (희소), Dokyung (도경), and Amin (아민), . On April 3, 2013, they released their debut single "비틀즈" (BEATLES) and made their debut on Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) Show Champion. In 2014, Aram and Hayun left the group, and OneKet announced in 2015 that she and Aram had launched lawsuits against their company in order to terminate their contracts. Simtong Entertainment acknowledged this and revealed that the group would be coming back with three new members, although they had previously attempted to come back after Hayun and Aram's leave with new members, and had been met with a unanimously negative reception. Pre-Debut Hayeon appeared in the movies Fly, Daddy, Fly, Spy Girl and more. One Ket won dance inside Performance vol.1 Award, Battle spot wacking Championship and Jam on the Square Performance contest Championship. AI appeared in movies My Way, GLove (Geulreobeu), Little Black Dress, drama Road No. 1 and sitcom High Kick! Unstoppable High Kick and more. Aram was cast in MBC The Great Birth Season 1.
