이천원 (2000 Won) consisting of the vocalist 김효빈 (Kim Hyo Bin) and the Rapper 김일도 (Kim Il Do) participated in the Korean Casting Show 'K-Pop Star 2' (run from 2012~2013) and reached the 4th place. They explained their name and said that the first time they performed on the streets of Hongdae (an artistic and youthful part of Seoul, South Korea) they earned 2000 Won thus they never wanted to forget that feeling. They signed under Reve Entertainment and their debut was in 2014 on March 14 with the song '뷰티풀' (Beautiful) featuring soloist 에일리 (Ailee).
