Novasonic (노바소닉, Nobasonik) is a Korean rap/rock/metal band. Members are 김세황 (Se-Hwang Kim) on guitars and vocals, 이수용 (Su-Yong Lee) on drums, 김영석 (Yeong-Seok Kim) on bass and vocals, 이현섭 (Hyun-Sup Lee) singing vocals for their fourth album, and 김진표 (Jin-Pyo Kim) providing rap and vocals for their first three albums. Their first album (Novasonic) was released in 1999, their second (Novasonic 2) in 2000, their third (Novasonic 3) in 2001, and their fourth (Han) in 2003. In 2000, they provided the song For Adun (protoss's theme) on the album StarCraft Game Music Vol.1. The songs 또다른 진심 (Ttodareun Jinsim) and Slam (Video Killed the Radio Star) were also popular in the game Pump It Up. In 2002, they released a two-disc set called 1999-2002 Remastering which included many tracks from their first three CDs as well as two live songs, a remix of 태양의 나라 last vatalian 2039 하켄크로이츠 (Taeyangui Nara last vatalian 2039 Hakenkreuz), and a version of For Adun (protoss's theme) that did not include sounds from the Starcraft game. They also released a live CD/DVD. They have been described as a "Korean Rage Against the Machine". Their three instrumentalists are also part of the music group N.EX.T (New EXperiment Team). In 2010, the band reformed, with 정구현 (Gu-Hyeon Jeong) replacing 김세황 (Se-Hwang Kim) on guitars, and released a new mini-album, Metamorphosis.
