田原 (Tian Yuan) was born in 1985 in Wuhan, China. She released her first album, 'A Wishful Way', in 2002 (at age 17) as the singer and lyricist of the China former rock trio, Hopscotch (跳房子). She left the band to pursue her acting career, appearing in over 10 full length and short films as of 2007. In 2004 she took the role of Yip in the film 'Butterfly'. As a result, she was nominated as the Best New Performer at the Taiwan Golden Horse Awards in 2004. Then in 2005, she received the award for Best New Artist at the Hong Kong Film Awards. Her song "She" was represented in the film and immediately became famous in China. Returning to the sonic realm, her individual project has been processing under Dong Music.
