Hiroshi Iwai (岩井宏) (February 23, 1944-July 24, 2000) was a singer-songwriter. He was established as "the best banjo player in Japan" in "folk reports" published by art music publishing, and influenced many successors. In the midst of the Kansai folk boom, he made his debut after supporting popular singers such as Wataru Takada.
