Yomituti speaks about his band, Magane: “We intend to create Yomi Metal, which is strongly influenced by black metal but whose thought and melodies are influenced by ancient or traditional Japanese cultures (Yomi means land of the dead in ancient Japanese.) Myths we’re based on are distributed to East Asia and Polynesia in common. The god in the sky meets the goddess on earth to create many gods, and at last the god of Fire is born and the Mother is burned to death. Then the goddess on earth is to be the goddess of both life and death. In Japan she is called Izanami. Cultures influencing us are Kagura, No, Norito, Gagaku, and so on in which melodies are neither major nor minor but very familiar to Japanese”.
