兔子TUZI consists of lead vocalist and guitarist, Sarah Lam, vocalist and bassist Carissa Foo, and back-up vocalist and drummer, Joyce Tan- all born in the zodiac year of the rabbit. Formed in fall 2008, the trio eagerly jumped the bandwagon of thousands of music enthusiasts, optimistically anticipating listening ears. Their inaugural stage act at Mediacorp Channel U’s Superband 2008, launched the band onto the subsiding Chinese music scene, winning the hearts of voters across the nation with their unique and amiable on-stage persona. After almost 2 years of hiatus, they are back with their debut album, that expresses the spirit of 兔子TUZI. With their catchy riffs, pulsating grooves alongside succinct yet heartfelt verses, TUZI’s new album articulates what keeps the world revolving- hope and its repercussions of possibilities. Their debut single, > metaphorical of a greater sense of lost and emptiness, narrates the tale of a disorientated individual suspended between remembering and forgetting.
