Self-described by the artist as "plundernoise," ⌬ (pronounced and occasionally typeset as "Benzene") is a noise project of Nick Shutter made entirely from samples of pre-existing work. Most of these samples are taken from various metal, punk, noise, electronic, and industrial acts and then distorted to the point where the source material becomes unrecognizable. The typical Benzene track can be described as over-the-top and abrasive with a general lack of dynamics or change throughout.
