For the Latin rendering of the name go here. Hurd is a famous Mongolian heavy metal band. They formed in 1987 at a train depot in Ulaanbaatar under the Russian name "Skorost". Their name was changed to Hurd in 1993. Hurds first concert was the "Black Wind" concert. Their first gig outside Mongolia was in Hungary in 1997. They have 7 albums, a live album, 2 singles and 2 DVDs. Despite forming in 1987, their first albums were not released until 10 years later. They are considered a double album by Mongolian music lovers due to both albums having been released at the same time. the songs on these albums were recorded throughout the early to mid 1990s.
