Era was a Bulgarian thrash-core-funk band from the 1980s and 1990s, connected to the band Review and the well known female punk singer Milena. In their debut, "Era'89" their style is more groove and key-influenced, with lyrics in bulgarian. After the releasing of Milena's "Ha-ha" album in 1991 (Era recorded the whole playback and some vocals) the guitarist and lead singer Liubo Malkovski leaves the band to form "Er Malak" and he's replaced by Dimitar "Funky" Kovachev. The second release, Suicide'92 EP is more regular thrash metal than the debut, with English lyrics, but still with some groove influences. The third release Point of View'93 is almost standard bay-area thrash metal. After this they broke-up to form S.M.E. (Sofia Music Enterprises) - big Bulgarian live-show promoter.
