The band was formed in 1997, when Zbigniew (ex- Ciastko, Szfagier), Lukasz (ex-Wszy, Larum, Szfagier, Zespol Pogrzebowy Radosc), Klaudiusz (ex- Ciastko, Baktrian, Szfagier, Kontrasty, Ofiary Stomilu, Wszy,Goliat, Sunka Wakan, Projekt Rebus) i Radek (ex-Sunka Wakan) decided to extend life of most extreme mutation of Pyrzyce's folklore. After three years of practice, gigs and two recording sessions in consequence of members migrations they suspended playing for while. In 2006 they came back on the Poznan ground. One of the guitar (Radek's) is replaced by sax (Tomek) who left the band in May 2008. ZERAFAL is a conglomerate of freejazz, modern music and heavy things (from noise to death metal).
