Ānemi is a Downtempo, Indietronica band based in Athens, Greece. They pride themselves on their technical abilities and musical versatility, breaking boundaries with their unique dreamy sound. The main theme that they discuss is mental health issues and problems they recognise in society. From hiding from our thoughts to believing in false realities, Ānemi has spotted several ideas which are sharing, one chapter at a time. The three main members are: Amaria Katsanevaki - Vocalist (@Amaria.kats), Lefteris Pitsiavas a.k.a. Chop Juggler - Production (@ChopJuggler) and John Logothetis a.k.a. JLogo - Guitar (@Jlogo8) Their most unique characteristic is the groove and “flow” of their songs that give a chilled and dreamy vibe. Just like their name -which means “winds”- they’re always experimenting with new concepts and sounds. They were introduced during the summer of 2019 with their debut single, “Near” which talks about ignoring your mental health problems and shutting the lights off, pretending they don't exist. "Monkeys in a Cage” (08/12/2019) is their first official music video. "The basic idea of 'Monkeys in a Cage' is that all of humanity is in an uninterrupted carousel where you have to perform the same routine until you are no longer able to do anything else. Even when someone is interrupted from this endless cycle of his stupefaction, he is doomed to forget about the struggles he went through.
