Öökülm is a hip-hop group from Rakvere, Estonia. The band consists of beatmaker and producer DJ Melkker and MC Lord. Öökülm released its debut album Välk selgest taevast ("Like a Lightning out of Clear Sky") under Estonian premier alternative label Lejal Genes in fall 2007. The album was critically acclaimed, gaining positive reviews from major Estonian reviewers. "Viskit" ("Whiskey"), a punk and rave influenced track from the album "Välk selgest taevast" became a hit at the national level in 2007 by gaining airplay at Estonian radio station Raadio 2. Because of the songs performance, Öökülm was in the beginning of 2008 appointed to perform it at Raadio 2 Aastahitt, one of the most important Estonian pop music award ceremonies which was broadcasted both on radio and television.
