Rock. Make way to ÓCIO’s originality. Formed by Daniel Furlan (vocals/guitar), Rodrigo Larica (bass/vocals) and Patrick Preato (drums/vocals), the Brazilian trio currently lives in London. ÓCIO found in late 60’s rock and early 90’s punk influences the appropriate soil for Furlan’s sarcastic lyrics, and in 2006 the band launched its first album, MOOD SWINGS, produced by Sergio Benevenuto. While many of their contemporaries are too busy searching for the perfect outfit and carefully messing their hair, ÓCIO's show and album can easily be translated in one word: rock The lyrics are hypochondriac and sour reflexions. Matters such as the pleasure in giving up one’s goal or the freedom found in not being loved by anyone, receive a nerd/loser approach by Furlan’s nasal voice, accompanied by Larica and Preato’s constant backing vocals. MOOD SWINGS aims to preserve the kind of energy ÓCIO releases in it shows, in uncommon arrangements, with blues-rock riffs in a punk mood. However, the result is neither blues or punk: ÓCIO mixes rock n' roll with rock n' roll, no mush. Rock.
