Artist
Éder Duarte is a song-writer, singer and musician from Porto Alegre, Brazil. He learned how to play the guitar when he was 9, and since then, he has developed his own style of playing. In 2006, he had a pop/rock band with compositions and covers from another bands. In the same year, he started a record of a DEMO CD, but he has not finished it. He lived em Piratininga, a city in the country side of São Paulo, in 2008, in an ONG called Jocum/Vila do Louvor. There he could meet artists and new friends such as designers, musicians, photographers and others. At that time he had the opportunity to know what he was made to do and create his musical identity. In the same year he traveled to Piauí, a Brazilian state, where he spoke in schools, streets and churches, as part of his compromise with Jocum. In 2009, he started to record his songs in a home studio and used the internet to spread his songs. As a way to extend his knowledge in music, he took in 2010 a music course at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). It was another opportunity to meet talented artists and make new contacts. At that time, he started to rehearse with his friends who were his friends focusing on a release of his first album, which was finished by the end of 2012 and it is available to downloaded at his website http://www.ederduarte.com. His band's is also composed by Lucas Hertz (guitar), Silas Hertz (drums) and Gustavo Michel (bass guitar and back vocals). User-contributed text is available
