{SiR}Mojo_Tooth is the online gaming name taken by wannabe musician Stacey Ross. Mojo_Tooth wrote two different songs utilizing mostly sound effects and vocal samples from the Starsiege: Tribes series of video games, written by Dynamix and published by Sierra. The first track, "ShazFunk," was written over a particularly long and boring holiday vacation in 1999. The song featured a rhythm track constructed largely from weapon sound effects from the game, and from humorous vocal samples in the voicesets provided in Starsiege: Tribes. Central to the theme of the song is the anachronistic pseudo-curse, "shazbot." ShazFunk was inexplicably popular. The song was played nightly on the various Tribes-related shoutcasts and often as interludes on Tribes "sportscasts." Mojo was flooded with requests for a sequel. The sequel was entitled "LPB" and also featured the in-game voicesets prominently. While the original ShazFunk was constructed with a sense of humor and no small amount of silliness, LPB was a more straightforward dance track. Nevertheless, it also found a surprising amount of play by the small but rabid fanbase of the Tribes series. After Tribes 2 was released, Mojo began working on a third song in the series, whose working title was "Day of the Derms." However the work was never completed as the vocal samples in the second game were deemed to be less inspiring and far less "rhythmic."
