Hailing from Sheffield, the 5 piece subNOVA have the potential for radio friendly rock songs ranging from melodic ballads to big riffy rock machines - there is no escaping them. If you even dare to think Audioslave meets Radiohead with a touch of Kelly Jones voice in places, then you may just get some idea of what subNOVA sound like. The songs, topped off by the ever present powerful voice of Gary Walker have already been played on Kerrang Radio and BBC regional radio. In March 2007 their song "Kerosene Girl" was chosen by Music Week magazine for inclusion on a covermount CD "Yorkshire at Midem". Regular live work around Sheffield and its environs sees a growing fanbase. subNOVA clocked up some serious miles during 2007, playing shows across the UK including festival appearances and supporting acts as diverse as Laika Dog, The Mirimar Disaster, HedPE, Joe Bonamassa and R.P.W.L. , with plans for widespread tours and their debut album release in 2008.
