Artist
Beat the Grid is an electronic music duo. The sound is influenced by Brazilian, Jazz, Funk, and Soul music. The group started as a cloud burst shaped into little tiny boxes. At the same time both Daniel Frank (keyboards, electronics) and Hayden Eager (vocals) were searching for their collective sound: somewhere off the grid, where wind energy and solar power fueled creativity and helped to keep this planet as well as the next one beautiful. Their first collaborations were under the project name Bro and the Brahs but as the sound developed it became apparent that it was no longer a Surf\Ambient minded group. There was more direction. Beat the Grid's sound is one that is echoed in nature; often you can hear it by stepping outside. These vibrations are in your environment: someone talking on a cellphone sitting next to a tree, automotive transport machines that pass over spacious water bodies where below sea creatures tolerate the racket as they are swept by the sea's current, a bird's wing mimicked by a much larger spacecraft, city grids and computer chips set in front of a background where mother nature used to be.
