On September 10, 2021, Gert Verhulst released his debut solo album, "Zijn Mooiste Liedjes". This album is a collection of hidden gems from the Studio 100 repertoire, each song personally written by Gert himself. Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Studio 100 provided the perfect occasion for the release of this CD. Gert shares, "I had been toying with this idea for a few years. Over the past 25 years, Johan Vanden Eede and I have written a multitude of songs for our artists. However, with some series having ended years ago, there remained a rich repertoire sitting on the shelf. I wanted to breathe new life into some of these songs by reimagining them with Steve Willaert in a fresh and contemporary style. Additionally, we did the same with two songs from our rich tradition of family musicals. Hopefully, it will be a surprising musical journey for both fans of the past and a new generation."
