The transition from living to dying begins with the slithering “Ruined, You Wait.” Its distant finale gently sends the listener adrift into the rest of the grey and red plains of You Are Dying. The journey is fevered and unpeaceful. With industrial-tinged rhythms, nihilistic rants and ragged singing, weeping/towering melodies and a handful of experimental twists, The Central End’s debut radiates walls of crippling guitar ambience and conjures depraved visions. Take it as a stark reminder that your apocalypse is on its way.
