That album, like a similar one prior to its release, Draft Songs, was an album of demo songs, published to reveal possible recordings for The Crimson Sea, an album project recorded at Kashmir Studios, in Auckland NZ in the spring of 2010. The statement by Bahá’u'lláh that "The world is but one country and mankind its citizens" provided the motivating impulse behind the writing of this song. Only a spiritually blind man or a bigot, such as that crazy misguided individual in Norway who recently killed close to a hundred innocent people in order to gain exposure through the media to propogate his view that Europe should remain exclusively white and nominally Christian, could disagree with this undeniable truth. My closest childhood friend lost his wife in that massacre.
