But it is him still on vocals and for that reason should find a loyal following. Vollmer is heavier and a lot more contemporary in sound than one would imagine. A lot of 90's friendly heavy guitar, plus some screaming vocals and generally hard hitting songs. There is a few goofy experimental moments with vocal effects and loops and the like, but also some straight up hard rockers. Basically for dedicated fans and newcomers that dig the modern scene. Not for Helix fans not ready to hear anything other than their classic sound. Well produced for an indie.
