SEVERANCE released this album initially in 2001 with WWIII records. It included a rare bonus cover track and included the EP "SALVATION DENIED". In 2006, SEVARED RECORDS and BURNING DOGMA united to re-issue this album with a different set of bonus tracks. They consisted of the 1992 previously-on-vinyl "ABYSMAL ASCENT" tracks. This was the first time that these songs were availible in digital format. The logo on the cover was changed from red to green. Brutal, down-tuned death metal. This was an album that hinted listeners as to the type of changes, musically, that Severance would incorporate into it's original style. The songs remained very agressive and epic, but now added a more modern brutality. Vocals were lower and more gutteral as were the guitars.
