Broken Silence is a Utah (US) based HipHop band/collective. Their style is dark, conceptual, and methodical. They formed in 2003, and released their first album "Heat" in 2004 which garnished local praise and established them as a local heavy weight in the SLC underground scene. In 2006, the group took a hiatus so certain members could focus on audio engineering school to further develop the technical skills needed to compete in the competitive world of music. In 2008 the group was back full-force. This time they joined forces with blues/rock band The MadHatters and produced a genre bending performance unlike anything Utah had previously been exposed to. This collaboration got their buzz back stronger than before and they were booked consistently for a year+ until the 2 bands decided to focus on recording their own material. Upon the way, long time friends of the band, Mr. Moonie (of Robin Mary) and "I" of Stem Cell Ghost (Known in BS as The Weatherman) began producing and writing material with them and eventually would join the group as the live drummer and bassist, which has been the arrangement since 2009. This led to the making of the EP "We See Everything" in 2010/2011. The EP has received top reviews and is being sold both locally and on every major digital platform.
