Album
DJ-turned-intergalactic-explorer, ET, has returned from the darkest depths of space with more haunting beats in “We All Dream.” This collection is a tour of percussive soundscapes and crunchy, haunting echoes wailing from crushed basslines. Everything you'd want from a moody, hypnotic techno album is skulking here from ocean-deep backgrounds to brilliantly chosen snares that meld so well you CAN hear them in space. From the pseudo-melodic bleeping and distorted hiss in “Crimes” to the wicked and atmospheric howling bass in “Exposed,” the album is a wildly creative exploration of thoughtful sounds. ET takes us from calm thumpers to chaos-ridden trips through circuit boards in tracks like “Spit Fish,” an intense and complex snare-hitter that always finds the right time to employ ghostly buzzing and staticky riffs. “We All Dream” has real soul. It's a provocative trip that doesn't need to work very hard to make you fall and float. This is an album that's got steel-walled aesthetics, a feeling of constant, reverberating motion and noisy loneliness. All tracks written and produced by Electric Type at the TechnoPod Studios. Mixing and Mastering by Luke Bredin of SPM Soundtracks Studio. Album Art by Maximiliano Cabrera.
