The album debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200, selling approximately 44,000 copies in its first week. It is the band’s final album to feature bassist Matt Snell, who departed in late 2010, and the first to include guitarist Jason Hook. "War Is the Answer" has been certified platinum in the United States, with sales of around one million copies.
