Released March 25th 2003, this was the first major label release by Cool Hand Luke and what a release it is! Their sound had somewhat mellowed compared to their previous disc, I Fought Against Myself...And Tore Myself To Pieces. While the former had a lot of more emo type sound with screaming vocals, this one has many falsetto vocals and most of the vocals are clean. This cd is excellent. Full of thought provoking worshipful lyrics. An interesting thing I learned by accident (and from the lead singer by email) this week is that if you put the cd in a player and hit the rewind button when the song starts you will hear an accapello version of the verse Wake up O sleeper, rise from the dead and Christ will shine on you. I found it by accident and emailed the band and they let me know it was kind of a hidden track. Awesome to find such a pleasant surprise after years of spinning this fantastic disc. The longest and strongest song on the disc is Dreams for Sale. Superb thought provoking lyrics that really make you put things in perspective. So Shall It Be is a wonderful worshipful song scripturally based as well. The cool thing about this disc is while it is very biblically inspired, you don't feel like you are listening to some generic sounding "Christian" band. These guys sound authentic and you can feel it and hear it in all of the songs. The album includes a love song called For You. Directed to the Lord, it is sincere and set up so you can join right in with them. T
