Album
A Matt Howden instrumental album, based on the flight path of the Voyager space probes. the album tracks Voyager, out past the planets, and into the heliopause at the edge of our Solar System. As Voyager becomes more distant so the album attempts to shed the conventions of music and musical form. later tracks become dependent on quarter notes, sometimes only using the reverb from tradition instruments, and found sounds. Also re-created are some of the sounds that Voyager itself transmits out into the Solar System; the sounds of the earth, of monkeys, The Mariachi Marching band, Back and Mozart's Queen Of The Night aria. The album was released in 2004 by Amplexus label in Italy. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
