This world jazz album features duo tracks with piano/bass and piano/guitar; trio w/ piano, bass & guitar & quartet w/ piano, bass, guitar & percussion. Other instruments used include Shakuhachi flute, Burmese temple gong, Tibetan singing bowls & bells. The title track "Vibrations" opens with a Shakuhachi flute solo, followed by Burmese temple gong and finally piano, bass & guitar coming in one at a time. The track "Nepal" features the use of a pitched Tibetan bell and "Plateaux" uses a Tibetan singing bowl to introduce the piece. There are also a few contemporary American jazz standards on the album.
