VIBE (2008) is Mama Hagglin's first full length album release. It is meant to be heard as a "Gapless," album to experience the effects between tracks. For the first time, Mama Hagglin uses female back up artists. The album also brought instrumentation new to Mama Hagglin in the form of cello, trumpet, saxophone, mandolin, harmonica, piano and organ. The album reflects a 60's-70's jam rock sound that will take the listener on a ride of emotions if so desired. "Goodbye Waltz," is a ballad with over 40 years in the making that singer Jeff Porter wrote to shed the deep pains of his youth. "War," asks the question, "What are we fighting for?" Chants from the mouths of today's youth help to drive the message home. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
