Album
Vampire On Titus is the sixth album by Guided By Voices, released in 1993. The album was recorded and released in a time between Propeller and Bee Thousand, when the band had a short-lived dissolution. Once Scat Records came calling for more GBV thanks to Propeller, they released Vampire On Titus and The Grand Hour. Therefore, the only band members who are on this album are Robert Pollard, Tobin Sprout, and Jim Pollard. Vampire On Titus is usually considered the most abrasively lo-fi album in the band's discography, containing noise pop tracks (Dusted, Sot, Unstable Journey, Perhaps Now The Vultures) off-kilter yet beautiful lo-fi indie folk (Donkey School, Marchers In Orange, Jar Of Cardinals, Gleemer, Wondering Boy Poet) and a GBV live staple which is also one of their most catchy songs, "Non-Absorbing".
