The earliest known information about the album’s existence dates back to August 23, 2023, where Dom teased his fans on Twitter that he had a new project ready to be released, stating: I got new single and tape ready im tellin em im ready 🫰 “duh duh duh” with Veeze would be released as the album’s lead single on May 17, 2024. After had keeping secret about the album’s information for some time, on June 15, 2024, Dom confirmed that a new album would be on it’s way. He would then take to Twitter teasing a t-shirt of the album’s official title, as well as an upcoming tour. “eighteen” would then be released as the album’s second singe on July 12, 2024. On August 8, 2024, Dom would officially confirm that a new project would be released within the month. Then on August 20, 2024, Dom took to social media announcing that a new album would be released on August 30 to celebrate his 22nd birthday. On August 22, 2024, Dom would confirm through Twitter the list of producers involved on the album. He would then reveal the album’s official artwork and tracklist.
