'Undead Orchestra' is Rysk's debut EP, featuring lyrics, guitars, and production by Alec Petros, and drums by Will Walker. Echoes and Shatter were written before Rysk disbanded in August 2010, while Crush was written by Alec Petros as a solo artist after the breakup. The entire album was recorded outside of a studio. Crush, Shatter, and Echoes were recorded at the band's practice space in South Kingstown, while Crystal and Empty were originally recorded in a hostel in London. The album has been under way for nearly two years, starting with Echoes, which was originally an experiment in home recording, and ending with Empty, which exhibits the huge growth in mixing, mastering, and synthesizing skills of the author. The album is themed over two or three of Alec's ex-girlfriends, in no particular order. They deal with typical themes of love and loss, along with an undertone of decay. It remains to be seen if any of the songs will be kept for Rysk's first full-length album. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
