This new CD by Songs In His Presence features Brian Blum: Let all fall more deeply in love with Christ! Through the warm and rich voice of tenor Brian Blum, this contemporary album of praise, contemplation and prayer features powerful songs from Servants of the Word brother Ed Conlin. Prayer, renewal, community, and ministry to the homeless as a chaplain at the Capucian center in inner-city Detroit are the graces which fuel Conlin's profound writing. Songs such as "Come, Ye Winds" and "According to Your Word" express our emptiness and the costs of discipleship and love, while others such as "Rise, O People Called to Worship," "We Enter In" and "My Portion, My Treasure" radiate a joy beyond all joys, beckoning us to enter the Father's courts in worship. There are 12 tracks in varied styles, including the moving "You Are Loved (Don't Give Up)" first recorded by popular artist Josh Groban. The album ends with a contemporary setting of Ignatius' "Anima Christi" ("My Lord, My King" by Ann Berger) and the classic "The Lord's Prayer" by Alfred Malotte.
