Troubadour could be the quintessential JJ Cale Album. Troubadour is his fourth release and features the song Cocaine, written by JJ Cale and later covered by Eric Clapton. Songs of note on this release include You Got Something, Traveling Light, Ride Me High and Cocaine. JJ Cale offers the listener a Raw, bluesy sound which can be either laid back or up tempo. JJ Cale has a unique sound of his own. Cale is also a prolific songwriter as well as an artist. Cale has recorded at places as diverse as Muscle Shoals Sound Studios in Alabama to Nashville to California. JJ Cale is known as the musician's musician for many years and is finding a new base of fans today even as he heads into his 70's.
