Call it noise, call it avant-garde, but nevertheless it is an attempt to create something new, a musical forefront of uncharted sonic territory. Often times dissonant and nearly unlistenable, Bolo Santosi are fearlessly trailblazing a realm of sound that others might fail to consider. The tonal effects of music on the human brain are usually intended to be pleasing, but adverse effects can also take place. By sonically creating a physically uncomfortable atmosphere, these gentlemen knowingly abolish all preconceived notions of what music “should” sound like, and instead reach into an unknown world of sound.
