The first official release by Perpeteia, "Trepanation Constellation" was recorded in a single day with the aid of numerous mind expanding chemicals and a well equipped music studio. Upon returning from a color saturated journey through the toxic jungle, Curtis felt it necessary to alleviate the tensions in the silence of his spine, using a guitar running through a high velocity rotating speakers as conduit to his cerebral flowerings. The sounds were recorded live to cassette tape, which that very afternoon was offered to his friend/collaborator for his psychedelic listening enjoyment. Travis was so taken aback by the cohesiveness of the musical ideas and uniqueness of the sonic character of the recorded that he insisted a complimentary bass line be recorded immediately. The recording was finished before sunset, mixed a month or so later, and can now be distributed at will.
