In 2012 Orpheum's first release "Treason" was announced for pre-order. Within the first few days the Special Edition pre-order copies had already been bought. On 12th March the EP was released with worldwide availability through the Official Orpheum Store and being downloadable at iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify and multiple other download outlets. 2012 saw their first release receive praise from listeners and onlookers as they played multiple dates and venues around London; with some highlights including the inclusion into Band Quest UK, supporting Swiss band November-7 on their UK tour, being asked to support Edguy at the Roc(k)tober!! Festival at the Watford Colosseum, interviewed by Terrorizer.com and performing with three up-and-coming female fronted metal bands at the first Voices of Vixens night.
