Games Workshop's Black Library, known for publishing novels, art books, background books, and graphic novels set in the Warhammer Fantasy Battle and Warhammer 40,000 fictional universes, produced the Traitor General album alongside with darkwave musician John Bergin. John Bergin provided the lyrics used while the music was created and played by numerous other artists, and was produced in 2004 by Bergin and Gareth Branwyn. The album was sold with the collector's edition of Dan Abnett's 'Traitor General' book and was limited to 300 copies.
