Time II is the fourth full-length album from Finnish melodic death metal band Wintersun. It is the long-anticipated sequel to their 2012 album Time I. Work began on the album in 2006, side-by-side with Time I. The albums were originally intended to be released as a single album titled Time, but work stalled for several years, leading to the release of the completed Time I in 2012. Work was stopped on Time II in 2014. Instead, Jari worked on The Forest Seasons, a four-song album, which he released in 2017. Eventually, recording and production of the album was crowdfunded through the "Time Package," a large collection of demos, remasters, instrumental tracks, and other files to be released alongside Time II. The album is currently slated for official release on August 30th, 2024, which is eighteen years after work on the album began.
