The overall sound could be considered noise rock due to it's atonal songs, dissonant riffs and even one note power chords. the emotional range is suprisingly wide from the unsettling "Explorer Meets Natives" to the hopeful "Seafoam" to the aptly titled "Rhythm of Tension" "Jungle Expedition" where the duo switch instruments for a semi improvised jam. Whereas Tangerine Stars is usually a solo affair by Rudy, he is joined by friend Chris to bring TS into a live setting.
