"Three" is the third studio album by the American electronic rock duo Phantogram, released on October 7, 2016, by Republic Records. The album was produced by band members Josh Carter and Sarah Barthel, along with Ricky Reed, John Hill, and Dan Wilson. This work reflects a period of personal struggles for the duo, especially due to the passing of Sarah Barthel’s sister during the recording process. These experiences deeply influenced the album’s tone and themes, resulting in a darker and more introspective sound. The album was preceded by the single "You Don't Get Me High Anymore", released in June 2016, which received promotional remixes by artists such as How to Dress Well, A-Trak, Miami Horror, Attlas, and The Range. "Three" debuted at number five on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart and at number nine on the Billboard 200. Critical reception for the album was mixed. While some praised the duo's ability to transform personal experiences into artistic growth, others felt that the album represented only an incremental progression from their previous work.
