THIRSTY is The Black Skirts' fourth full-length album. If his preceding album, TEAM BABY, described the bright side of love, THIRSTY attempts to describe the raw human experience—both the joyful and the sorrowful. Jo Hyu-il, the singer-songwriter behind the one-man band, described as wanting the album to be “blatant” and “grotesque”—however, each song ultimately ended up sounding like a love song (source: Melon). In an Instagram post, he also described the album as “ugly, but lovable.” User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
