Album
Before "weird punk" or "mysterious guy hardcore", there was Theoretical Girls. Theoretical girls are better than everything else you listen to because 1.) Everything Glenn Branca touches is gold and 2.) I said so and this blog is my own self-made delusion where everything I say is unarguably genius... You know all about no wave because you saw that "Kill Your Idols" documentary at your buddy Skyler's house last summer, so I will save us any explanation. Wikipedia say's that the band, "were among the most enigmatic of the late '70s New York no wave bands". I attribute not only to Branca's presence in the group, but that the band managed to produce some of the genres most "listenable" work. Now that's some weak shit in scene where audio-violence and confrontation is king. Good thing we aren't some authentic 70's "no wavers" or we might have to score this band lower for their lack of true grit. Instead, we are assholes with terrible musical tastes on the internet. Therefor, we can see Theoretical girls for the noise punk deities that they are. Hallelujah! Without the 'Girls, Sonic Youth might not exist. This is a compilation of their known recorded work.
